2019/20 Membership Renewal

You should have already received the campaign email inviting you to renew your membership. It included this link to enable you to rejoin online and also enter the annual tournaments. I’m pleased that we’ve been able to hold membership fees at the same level and these remain very favourable in comparison to other clubs. If you renew before April 30th, you will be eligible for both a prompt payment discount and entry into the club draw for Wimbledon 2019 tickets (as long as you have opted in to the British Tennis ballot).

The new pavilion has been a great addition to the club and I hope members are enjoying the improved facilities. We have social tennis events coming up on Easter Monday and May Bank holiday, so please do come down and join in. These will be closely followed by the annual tournament preliminary rounds in June: Ladies on Sunday 9th, Men’s on Sunday 23rd and Mixed on Sunday 30th. Entries have been falling over recent years so we would really like to see as many as possible enter this year, the time commitment is not too great – one session of tennis in June, one semi-final arranged at a mutually convenient time in July or August and then Finals Day on Saturday 14th September. Why not give it a try? We always like to see new names appear on the trophy. For the benefit of new members of the club, the format is very inclusive, you just enter your name (we make sure that there are an even number of entrants!) and then we draw for partners on the day – the preliminaries take a round robin format and the top four pairs go through to the semi-finals. It really is a case of ‘the more the merrier’ so please add your entry with your membership renewal.

We always welcome feedback and suggestions for ways in which we can improve your experience as a member of the club, please just speak to a committee member or email chairman@chelmsfordianstennis.co.uk

Looking forward to welcoming you all to the 2019/20 season and you can contact us here if you experience any problems with our online system.

Thanks Jane
